The financial and economic crisis of the world, which started from the United States of America, quickly spread among the other countries that are members of the capitalist system and took hold of them as well. The European Union, as one of the most important players in the international system with a liberal democratic political and economic foundation, was not exceptional in this matter, but what made the importance of this crisis and its management in the European Union more prominent among analysts was the impact of this crisis on It was a European business, security and political trend. For this purpose, the main goal of the current research was to examine the economic situation of the European Union in 2022. In terms of the nature of the research, this research is included in the category of analytical-inferential research and in terms of the purpose of the research, it is included in the category of applied research. The statistical population of the research includes 27 member countries of the European Union. Also, in order to collect data, the statistics published by the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund and the World Trade Center in 2022 were used. Also, Excel and Eviews software were used to analyze the research data. The results of the research showed that the GDP of the European Union in 2022 is 22 trillion dollars, which is expected to reach 24.2 trillion dollars in 2023. Also, the economic growth of the European Union in 2022 is 2.5%, which is predicted to decrease to 1.8% in 2023. The EU GDP per capita in 2022 is 43.1 trillion dollars, which is expected to increase to 50.2 trillion dollars in 2023. Also, the amount of export and import of the European Union in 2022 is 2.2 and 2.4 trillion dollars, respectively, which indicates the power of production and competitiveness of the products of this union in front of other superpower countries of the world. According to the results of the European Union, it is the largest importer of oil in the world with a figure of 222 billion dollars.
