Abstract:   (13 Views)
The aim of the present study is to investigate the effect of group education teaching style on enhancing the academic progress of tenth grade humanities (second middle school) students in Yazd. The present research method is experimental and pre-test and post-test with a control group. The statistical population of this study consists of all tenth-grade humanities (second middle school) students in Yazd, which includes 270 people. The sample size of this study is 60 people (30 experimental and 30 control), which was obtained through simple random sampling. Math education was provided to the students in groups during 4 sessions of 45 minutes. The collection tool in this study is a researcher-made questionnaire. The results and findings of this study showed that there is a significant difference between the mean scores of the experimental and control groups in terms of problem-solving ability at the P<0.05 level, in terms of learning mathematical operations at the P<0.001 level, and in terms of learning mathematical concepts at the P<0.01 level. Therefore, this hypothesis is confirmed and group training has a positive effect on problem-solving ability, learning mathematical operations, and learning mathematical concepts after controlling for pre-test variables.
