Management in Iran faces numerous challenges in the realms of crisis management, natural resource management, and cultural diversity management, which have profound impacts on the social and economic sustainability of the country. From the perspective of crisis management, Iran is constantly exposed to natural hazards such as earthquakes, floods, and droughts due to its unique geographical position. Insufficient preparedness, weaknesses in emergency infrastructure, and lack of coordination among governmental agencies in crisis management have led to increased vulnerability of local communities and reduced effectiveness of responses. In terms of natural resource management, challenges such as over-exploitation, pollution, and climate change pose serious threats to the country’s ecosystems. These issues not only diminish the quality of natural resources but can also exacerbate social and economic tensions arising from resource scarcity. Furthermore, managing cultural diversity in Iran, as a multicultural country, requires special attention. Neglecting various cultural and ethnic identities can lead to conflicts and social dissatisfaction. In this context, effective management of cultural diversity can strengthen social cohesion and enhance citizen participation in social and political processes. This paper examines these challenges and their impacts on management in Iran, providing solutions to improve crisis management, natural resource management, and cultural diversity management. Ultimately, it emphasizes that achieving sustainable development and effective management necessitates a comprehensive and systematic approach by managers to address these challenges, as well as strengthening inter-organizational cooperation and active community participation.
