The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the impact of managers' strategic thinking and its dimensions on reducing career plateau among the employees of the Welfare Organization of Tehran province. The research method was applied in terms of purpose and descriptive and correlational in terms of data collection method. The statistical population of the present study included all the welfare workers of Tehran province, whose number was equal to 1500 people. The sample size was estimated to be 306 people using Morgan's table and stratified random sampling method. The method of data collection was based on Hamel's (2001) strategic thinking questionnaire and Allen et al.'s (1999) job stagnation questionnaire. Content validity was used to measure the validity, which showed the validity of the tool. Also, the reliability of these questionnaires using Cronbach's alpha method for all dimensions of the questionnaire was more than 0.7, which showed the appropriate reliability of the research tool. The analysis of the information obtained from the implementation of the questionnaires was done through SPSS21 software in two descriptive and inferential sections (Pearson correlation test and multiple regression). The results of the research showed that the strategic thinking of managers and its dimensions have a positive effect on reducing the job stagnation of employees of the welfare organization of Tehran province. Also, the implicit findings of the research showed that listening to new voices, establishing new interactions, new motivation, welcoming new experiences and drawing a new frame of mind by the manager have a positive effect on reducing the job stagnation of employees.
