The aim of this study was the effect of parents' literacy on increasing the self-confidence of elementary school students in Shiraz. The statistical population of this study includes illiterate parents and their children in the primary school of Shiraz district 4 in 1398 and 50 illiterate parents in Dr. Hesabi's school in Shiraz district 4 who have announced their readiness to participate in literacy training sessions. Individual self-esteem questionnaire (2012) was distributed among their children. Thirty parents whose children had lower scores in the self-confidence questionnaire were selected as the sample size and randomly assigned to the experimental and control groups (15 in the experimental group and 15 in the control group) and after parent literacy training. , A self-confidence questionnaire was administered to their children and the data were analyzed using the statistical method of analysis of covariance. The results showed that parents' literacy training had a significant positive effect on increasing self-confidence and increased it. Parental literacy education has a significant positive effect on increasing the components of self-confidence (value and competence) and has increased it.
